Aeroscout is proud of receiving the first license in Switzerland which allows it to fly over an inhabited area with an UAV system in the weight class of the Scout B1-100 UAV. The mission was planned and executed by Aeroscout staff and did include the laser scan of a several kilometer long power line as well as the cross sections of the towers. A corridor of 200m beside the power line was scanned with an average of 300 points per square meter. This results in a very detailed three dimensional point cloud which was delivered to the operating company for further planning tasks.
The reception of the license from the Swiss aviation authority was possible for Aeroscout due to the many years of experience in the UAV business and the reliability of the Scout B1-100 UAV helicopter.
